Market in the village Mzgola

In the same village where we went to provide vaccinations there was a market day as well.

Women start bringing their merchandise before the start of the market

Market is very busy

There was a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables at low prices

Nice colourful wraps and chintenje (wrap for carrying a baby)
This happy guy wanted Anouk to take a photo of him

The colours are so vibrant against the desert grays. What a different world, ey?
You seem well and that is wonderful. Keep up the good work.

Hi Lorraine, It is true. Malawi and Africa in general are full of such deep contrasts. Malawians love to wear colourful clothes. That goes for women and men. Sometimes I see on the street, especially in the cities, young men in loud, colourful "disco" polyester shirts.
